How video poker practice works

Video poker is a decision game. After the deal, you choose which cards stay and which cards are replaced. The strongest hold depends on both the five cards and the machine's paytable.

Video Poker Mastery deals from a standard 52-card deck and evaluates all 32 possible hold combinations. Your choice is compared with the hold or tied holds that produce the highest expected return for that exact situation.

Start with one game and play enough hands to recognize recurring choices. When a mistake appears, compare your cards with the correct hold, then move directly into another hand while the pattern is still fresh.
